The Phoenix Fire and emergency crews responded to the scene and found three vehicles, one fiery.

Phoenix, AZ. – Three persons were hospitalized after an alleged DUI collision late Wednesday night in Phoenix, according to the Phoenix police.
The accident happened a while before 10:00 p.m. on July 3, on 35th Avenue and Beardsley Road, off the Loop 101.
The Phoenix Fire and emergency crews responded to the scene and found three vehicles, one fiery.
A man was freed from the fiery vehicle by first responders.
Three persons sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital.
One officer inhaled smoke and was taken to the hospital. The officer was later released.
Initial investigation revealed one driver was traveling at a high rate of speed on 35th Avenue when he ran the red light at Beardsley Road before slamming into two other cars.
The Phoenix police said the speeding motorist was under the influence and was processed for DUI.
One of the involved vehicles had extensive damage to its front bumper while a tree was downed in the middle of the highway.
The incident remains under investigation.
