Several Injured in Weed Car Accident at 5 Freeway near Edgewood Road
Siskiyou County, California (September 20, 2022) – Multiple people were injured in a major crash that happened north of Weed in Siskiyou County on Tuesday morning.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash happened on Interstate 5 Freeway near Edgewood Road just after midnight.
Two big rigs and small car were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the collision were not immediately established.
Multiple were people were injured in the collision and were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Officers shut down the southbound lanes at I-5 Freeway and Edgewood Road for several hours.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
