Several People Injured in 5 Freeway Crash near W Alameda Avenue in Burbank
Burbank, California (May 9, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a Burbank multi-car crash that happened Sunday night on 5 Freeway, leaving several people injured.
The major injury accident happened at about 10:20 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the freeway near W Alameda Avenue.
Authorities said the collision involved about six vehicles.
Burbank police and multiple Burbank fire engines responded to the scene.
CHP said the accident resulted in major injuries. As many as eight people may have been injured in the crash.
A SigAlert was issued closing 5 Freeway near W Alameda Avenue. The SigAlert was expected to be lifted at about 11:25 p.m.
