Several People Injured in Florin Road Crash at Highway 99 in South Sacramento
Sacramento, California (July 2, 2022) – Several people have been hospitalized after two vehicles collided on Florin Road Saturday afternoon in South Sacramento, according to the California Highway patrol.
At about 3:38 p.m. today, CHP officers received reports of a major injury collision involving two vehicles on westbound Florin Road at Highway 99.
According to the CHP, one of the vehicles involved in the mishap rolled over and landed on its side, trapping people inside.
As per the CHP, at least four people were transported to different hospitals with major injuries following the collision.
A SigAlert was issued due to the crash. Several lanes were closed on northbound State Route 99 at Florin Road. Only one lane was left open and motorists were asked to alternative routes as emergency crew and equipment worked on the roadway.

The incident remains under investigation.
