Rider Hospitalized after Shasta County Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 5 near O'Brien

Shasta County, California (November 23, 2021) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following a traffic collision that happened Monday afternoon near the O'Brien community in Shasta County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The major injury crash occurred just after 4:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, on Interstate 5 near Obrien Inlet Road.
According to the CHP, the motorcyclist collided with a white Ford F-150 truck on the interstate for unknown reasons.

The motorcyclist suffered major injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The name of the rider and their condition were not immediately available.
A section of the Interstate 5 near Obrien Inlet Road was blocked as the investigation and cleanup took place.
The crash remains under investigation.
