1 Seriously Injured in Shingletown Crash on State Route 44 near Ponderosa Way
Shingletown, California (January 4, 2021) –One person sustained serious injuries following a traffic collision that happened Sunday evening in Shingletown, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash happened at around 6:15 p.m. Sunday, January 2, on State Route 44 near Ponderosa Way. State Route 44 is also known as Lassen Peak Highway.
According to the CHP, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons on State Route 44.
Following the collision, one of the vehicles became disabled in the middle of the roadway while the other vehicle flipped off the traffic lanes.

One person suffered major injuries in the crash. The name and current condition of the victim were not available.
Authorities determined that one of the motorists crossed the double yellow and may have caused the collision.
No other details were provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
