Sierra Olander Injured in Deadly Tehama County Collision on I-5

Tehama County, California (March 23, 2022) – Sierra Olander, 21, of Red Bluff was injured in a crash that left three people dead in the Cottonwood scales area of Tehama County on Sunday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
The deadly crash took place on Interstate 5, south of Bowman Road at about 1:45 a.m. March 20.
According to CHP, Ivy Spangle, 16, of Red Bluff was driving a Kia southbound on Interstate 5 when, for unknown reasons, he swerved into the west shoulder and crashed into a big rig that was parked on the side of the road.

Spangle and his passengers, Autumn Craytor, 15, of Red Bluff, and Jordan Verdugo, 20, also of Red Bluff, were killed in the accident.
Olander, who was also a passenger in the Kia, suffered major injuries and was taken to Mercy Medical Center for treatment.
The operator of the big rig, Rodney Hill, 47, of Elk Grove, was not injured.
The deadly collision is under investigation.
