Newhall, CA.- A skateboarder was hit and killed by a vehicle in Newhall on Thursday night, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.
The incident took place in the 23599 block of West Lyons Avenue at around 11:19 p.m. on June 12.
According to the report, a 16-year-old boy was riding a skateboard in the eastbound lanes of Lyons Avenue when he was hit by a pickup truck.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No further details were released.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
