A preliminary investigation indicated Husqvarna motorcycle, operated by Tranhaile was attempting to merge into the eastbound lane while still in the westbound lane when it collided head on with a westbound Ford F-350, operated by Brian Daniel Bohrer ,39, of Bend.

Deschutes County, OR. – Stephen Paul Tranhaile ,67, of Redmond was killed in a motorcycle accident on Highway 20 in Deschutes County Thursday afternoon.
According to the Oregon State Police, the collision happened at around 1 p.m. November 7 on State Route 20 near milepost 20.
A preliminary investigation indicated Husqvarna motorcycle, operated by Tranhaile was attempting to merge into the eastbound lane while still in the westbound lane when it collided head on with a westbound Ford F-350, operated by Brian Daniel Bohrer ,39, of Bend.
Tranhaile was declared deceased at the scene.
Bohrer was reportedly not injured.
The highway was impacted for approximately three hours during the on-scene investigation.
The OSP is investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
