Steven Hutchinson Killed in San Jacinto Collision on Ramona Express Way and Warren Road

San Jacinto, California (March 27, 2022) – Steven Hutchinson, 67, of San Jacinto, died days after a collision that took place in San Jacinto, according to authorities.
The wreck happened at about 6:20 p.m. March 19, on the Ramona Expressway near Warren Road.
Authorities said Francisco Salgado, 88, was driving a truck pulling a smaller trailer east on the Ramona Expressway when he swerved into the westbound side to avoid vehicles stopped ahead of him
The truck slammed into the back of a black Jeep Wrangler and then collided with a westbound Nissan Frontier and a westbound white Jeep Wrangler.
Emergency crews extricated Salgado and Hutchinson, who was the driver of the Jeep.
They were both taken to Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley, where Salgado died later in the day.
Hutchinson died at the hospital after being hospitalized for eight days.
Authorities said alcohol and drugs were not believed to have played a role in the incident.
The crash is under investigation.
