Tucson, AZ.- Steven Raynor Bye, 75, died days after being involved in a bicycle collision in Tucson late last month, according to the Tucson Police Department.
The incident took place in the 8700 block of East Old Vail Road on June 25.
Authorities reported that Bye was riding a bicycle westbound on the paved shoulder of Old Vail Road when he tried to cross the westbound traffic lanes and was hit by an SUV.
Bye sustained major injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
On July 7, the Tucson Police Department were notified that Bye had succumbed to his injuries.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The incident is under investigation.
