At Least 1 Suffers Minor Injuries in Stockton Car Crash on Highway 99 near Hammer Lane Off-Ramp

Stockton, California (March 5, 2022) – At least one person was injured in a two-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon in Stockton, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at around 5:17 p.m. on northbound Highway 99, just south of the Hammer Lane off-amp.
A van collided with a silver Nissan for unknown reasons. The van went about 40 feet up an incline and overturned onto its roof. The Nissan stopped on the right-hand shoulder just north of Hammer Lane.
A signpost was completely severed at the base, and about 70 feet of chain-link fence was also destroyed.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and assisted at least one person who complained of pain. It was not clear if the victim was hospitalized.
CHP officers are investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
