At Least 1 Suffers Severe Injuries in Stockton Car Collision on Interstate 5 near Benjamin Holt Drive Off-Ramp
Stockton, California (September 22, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a severe injury collision that happened Tuesday evening in Stockton involving at least two vehicles.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident took place just before 8:00 p.m. on southbound Interstate 5 near the Benjamin Holt Drive off-ramp.
The wreck involved at least two cars, including a black BMW and a white Jeep Cherokee.
A passerby who stopped to check on the motorists told authorities that the driver in the Jeep had alcohol in the vehicle and was attempting to hide it.
The accident left at least one person with major injuries. The patient was helped by firefighters and paramedics who responded to the scene.
The BMW acquired major front-end damage, and the Cherokee major rear-end damage.
CHP is investigating the incident.
