1 Seriously Hurt in San Diego Accident on Mission Gorge Road

San Diego, California (November 23, 2021) – The driver of a street sweeper suffered major injuries in a traffic collision that occurred in the Allied Gardens neighborhood early Tuesday morning, according to San Diego police.
The incident took place just before 5 a.m. in the 7300 block of Mission Gorge Road.
San Diego police said a 34-year-old man driving a car west on Mission Gorge Road crashed into the rear of a street sweeper in the area.

The driver of the street sweeper, a 52-year-old man, sustained major injuries including broken ribs, broken sternum and internal injuries.
The other diver was unhurt.
Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the incident.
The crash is under investigation.
