Susan Jevarian Arrested After DUI Accident on Highway 29 in Napa

, California (July 25, 2022) – 20-year-old Susan Burnham Jevarian of has been arrested following a DUI collision Saturday night in Napa, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at around 10:10 p.m. July 23, on Highway 29 near the Imola Avenue (Highway 121) interchange. 

Police said Jevarian was heading south on northbound Highway 29 in a 1988 Cadillac while a 2021 Tesla and a 2003 Toyota were heading north. When the three cars arrived near the interchange, Jevarian clipped the Toyota in the left lane. Jevarian's car then swerved into the right lane and crashed into the Telsa.

Emergency teams rushed to the scene and attended to the injured parties. The 56-year-old man Toyota driver suffered minor injuries while three Tesla occupants sustained minor injuries due to the collision. The patients were taken to The Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment. Their names remain unrevealed.

The impact of the crash ejected Jevarian. She was flown to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center to treat moderate injuries.

Jevarian was later arrested for DUI causing injury. She was booked into the Napa County Jail.

An investigation is underway.

Napa, California (July 25, 2022) – Several people were injured in a chain-reaction collision in Napa on Saturday night, according to the authorities.

The incident took place on Highway 29 near the Imola Avenue interchange at around 10:10 p.m. on July 23.

According to the report, a 1988 Cadillac was heading south on northbound Highway 29 when it clipped an oncoming 2003 Toyota. 

The impact caused the Cadillac to spin and it collided with a northbound 2021 Tesla.

A female passenger in the Cadillac sustained major injuries while the driver of the Toyota, a 56-year-old Napa man, had minor injuries. They were both transported to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment.

The three occupants of the Tesla were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The driver of the Cadillac was airlifted to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center with moderate injuries.

Highway 29 was closed as authorities worked to clear the scene.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
