Santa Ana, Calif. – A 34-year-old male motorcycle rider dies in hospital after being involved in a police chase at West Edinger Avenue in Santa Ana last week Tuesday.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, the wreck happened on January 9 at West Edinger Avenue near Flower Street.

Officers with the Santa Ana Police Department had initiated a vehicle stop on the man, who was believed to own a stolen motorcycle.

The suspect crashed into a vehicle in the 900 block of West Edinger Avenue, near Flower Street.

The suspect was hospitalized with severe injuries, where he later died.

The name of the deceased was not immediately released.

An investigation is underway.
