At Least One Dead in Wasco Car Crash at Highway 43 and Pond Road
Bakersfield, California(April 7, 2022) – At least one person is dead following a fatal mishap between an SUV and a sedan Thursday afternoon near Wasco, the California Highway Patrol reports.
According to the CHP, the deadly crash happened just before 3:45 p.m. on Highway 43 and Pond Road and involved a Toyota Corolla and a silver Ford Expedition.
One person was reported pinned inside the Corolla following the accident.
At least one person was declared in the crash, according to the CHP.
Both vehicles went off the roadway after colliding and ended up in a ditch. Both vehicles, according to the CHP, sustained major front-end damage and required towing.
The crash remains under investigation.
