The deadly crash happened at about 12:07 a.m. on northbound Interstate 5 at South of Sixth Avenue.
San Diego, CA – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving one other vehicle on Interstate 5 in San Diego early Saturday morning.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office identified the deceased rider as Thom Nguyen, 19.
The deadly crash happened at about 12:07 a.m. on northbound Interstate 5 at South of Sixth Avenue.
According to SDPD, Nguyen was riding his motorcycle when, for some reason, he lost control, crashed into a barrier wall, and was ejected onto the roadway
Nguyen was subsequently struck by a vehicle. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No additional information was provided.
The crash is under investigation.
