Sacramento, CA. – 55-year-old Thongthai Xanaxay was the man who died after being struck by a car last week in Sacramento, the Sacramento County Coroner reported.
Xanaxay was hit by a vehicle around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, May 16, near Norwood and Eleanor avenues.
Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital in critical condition.
On Monday, police said Xanaxay succumbed to his injuries.

Sacramento, CA. – A man who was hit and critically injured by a vehicle Friday morning in Sacramento died from his injuries days later, Sacramento police reported on Monday.
The pedestrian was struck around 8:30 a.m. Friday near Norwood and Eleanor avenues.
The victim, a man in his 50s, was hit by a car for reasons still under investigation.
First responders found him with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Police on Monday said the man died from his injuries.
The driver cooperated with investigators.
