Todd Parsons Killed in Ukiah Plane Crash at Ukiah Regional Airport

Ukiah, California (October 29, 2021) – The pilot who was killed when a plane crashed at an airport in Ukiah on Thursday afternoon has been identified as Todd Michael Parsons, 43, of Redwood City, according to the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office.
The crash happened at Ukiah Regional Airport at around 1:14 p.m. October 28.
Authorities said a Cessna 172 M Skyhawk light plane was flying from Napa when it tried to land at the Ukiah airport and crashed at the south end of the airport.

The plane flipped and came to a rest upside down. Its landing gear was damaged.
Parsons, who was the pilot and the lone occupant of the plane, died in the crash.
The runway was closed until 11:30 a.m. Friday due to the crash.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transport Safety Board are investigating the wreck.
