Tracy, California (January 18, 2022) – At least one person is dead after two vehicles collided on Interstate 580 in Tracy Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly collision occurred at about 2:41 p.m. on Eastbound 580 Freeway, just east of Mountain House Parkway.
According to the CHP, a gold SUV and a white pickup truck were involved in the crash. Both vehicles overturned after colliding.
First responders found one person trapped in one vehicle and two others trapped in the second vehicle. Medics rescued one trapped party and rushed them to the hospital.
The California Highway Patrol reported that at least one person died in the accident. Major injuries were also reported in the crash.
