, California: One person was hurt in a two-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday morning on Highway 101 in San Mateo, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The accident was reported around 7:57 a.m. in the northbound lanes just south of Highway 92.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found a gold Honda CR-V with major front-end damage and a blue Honda Insight with major rear-end damage.

One person sustained minor injuries in the crash. The patient was treated at the scene, but it was unclear if they were hospitalized.

The Nos. 1, 2, and 3 lanes were shut down during an investigation.
