Marin County, Calif. – One person was sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday afternoon near an intersection in San Geronimo, the California Highway Patrol said.

The wreck was reported around 5:47 p.m. near Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Lagunitas School Road.

Marin County firefighters responded to the scene and found two small SUVs with heavy front-end damage and debris from the crash scattered in the roadway. Gas was also leaking from one of the vehicles.

One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators did not immediately determine the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
