Two vehicles collided Monday afternoon in the southbound lanes of the freeway just north of E. Alondra Boulevard.

Compton, CA. – Two people were hospitalized after a car accident that took place Monday afternoon on 710 Freeway in Compton, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported around 3:50 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the freeway just north of East Alondra Boulevard.
First responders found a Nissan sedan and a Freightliner tractor-trailer involved in the collision.
Two people were transported to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center with the complained of pain.
Caltrans personnel were requested to respond to the scene to help clean about 5-10 gallons of diesel that leaked from one of the vehicles into a storm drain.
CHP officers are investigating the crash.
