Two Hurt in Highway 101 Accident in Sonoma County
Sonoma County, California (July 16, 2022) – Two people were injured in a traffic collision that occurred near the Sonoma-Marin County Line on Friday morning, according to a report by the CHP.
The incident occurred at around 7:36 a.m. on July 15, on Highway 101 near the San Antonio Road exit.
According to the report, a Honda Civic traveling northbound on Highway 101 lost control and collided with the center median.
The Civic ended up in the middle of the roadway and was struck by a Freightliner truck.
The impact caused the big rig to roll over, and it blocked all lanes of the highway.
Both drivers were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Authorities said alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the accident.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
