A motorcycle got stuck in the grill of a pickup truck after a collision on the highway near Forty Mile Road that resulted in major injuries

Wheatland, Calif. – Two people were injured in a motorcycle collision that happened Tuesday evening near Wheatland, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A motorcycle and a pickup truck collided at around 6:55 p.m. on northbound Highway 65, just south of Forty Mile Road.
Authorities said a pickup truck hit a motorcycle, leaving the bike stuck in the grill of the vehicle.
One person sustained a broken left leg and road rash, and another party suffered road rash and the complaint of pain to the neck.
Police officers said impairment was not considered a contributing factor.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision.
