A compact car pulled in front of a big rig at East Stowell Road and Nicholson Avenue Tuesday evening, leading to the crash.
Santa Maria, CA – Two people were critically hurt in a traffic collision involving a compact car and a big rig that happened Tuesday evening at an intersection in Santa Maria.
The crash occurred around 7 p.m. at East Stowell Road and Nicholson Avenue.
According to investigators, the compact car pulled in front of the big rig and the two vehicles collided.
Two occupants of the car were transported by AMR ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
A third occupant of the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The patient was treated and released.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
