An adult and a juvenile were hospitalized following the collision near Cesar Chavez Street and Avenue 50
Coachella, Calif. – Two people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision that happened Sunday evening in Coachella, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.
Deputies responded to the scene around 7 p.m. off Cesar Chavez Street and Avenue 50, after receiving reports of the collision.
The deputies found two cars involved in the crash.
The driver of one vehicle was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
A juvenile passenger in the other car was airlifted to the hospital with major injuries.
No other details were given, but an investigation is ongoing.
Another collision occurred earlier near Coachella around 4:39 p.m. Sunday at Airport Boulevard and Harrison Street. That crash left two people seriously injured and four others with minor injuries.
