Tyrone Pate Killed in Granada Hills Collision on 118 Freeway near 405 Freeway
Granada Hills, California (March 2, 2022) – The man who died in a multi-car accident in Granada Hills on Tuesday morning has been identified by the Los Angeles Coroner's Office.
Tyrone Pate, 77, died following the crash that occurred on the 118 Freeway near 405 Freeway at around 11:45 a.m. March 1.
CHP said several vehicles were involved in the accident on the eastbound lanes of the freeway, just west of the 405 Freeway.
One of the involved vehicles flipped several times, crashed into the center divider and struck a traffic pole.

Pate was reportedly pronounced deceased at the scene.
Details on whether there were other injured parties were not available.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the deadly collision.
