At Least 1 Hospitalized after Union City Accident on Interstate 880 Freeway near Whipple Road
Union City, California (October 8, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into a crash that resulted in major injuries in Union City on Friday Afternoon.
According to authorities, the wreck happened on Interstate 880 Freeway near Whipple Road at around 1:21 p.m.
CHP said a Honda minivan collided with a large Aramark box truck in the fast lane of the southbound 880 Freeway.

One male party was transported by ambulance with facial injuries.
There were no further details on the wreck.
