Reportedly, 30-year-old Joseph Alcazar of Fontana was driving under the influence of alcohol when he struck and killed a girl in the area

Newport Beach, CA. – A 14-year-old girl was killed in a pedestrian crash on Balboa Boulevard in Newport Beach Saturday evening.
The police received reports about an auto-pedestrian crash on Balboa Boulevard and Palm Street at around 6:47 p.m. on May 25.
Reportedly, 30-year-old Joseph Alcazar of Fontana was driving under the influence of alcohol when he struck and killed a girl in the area.
The girl, whose name has not been released died at the scene.
Alcazar was arrested on suspicion of homicide and cruelty to a child.

Newport Beach, CA – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Newport Beach on Saturday evening, according to the Newport Beach Police Department.
The accident took place on Balboa and Palm Streets at about 7:32 p.m. on May 25.
According to the police report, a 20-year-old woman was hit by a pickup truck in the area under unclear circumstances.
The woman, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene of the accident.
Roads were closed in the area as authorities investigated the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
