Phelan, Calif. – Authorities confirmed two girls ages 1 and 13 were killed in the crash that occurred at an intersection in Phelan Friday afternoon.
The wreck was reported at around 1:35 p.m. at Phelan and Nevada Roads.

The adult driver and passenger of the Toyota were transported to a hospital with injuries of unknown severity. The driver of the van was not injured.
Phelan, Calif. – Authorities are investigating a deadly two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Phelan Friday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash at the intersection of Phelan and Nevada Roads at around 1:35 p.m.
Reportedly, a westbound Toyota on Phelan Road had slowed down to make a left turn onto Nevada Road, when for unknown reasons, the white Ecoline Ford Van rear-ended it.
One person was killed in the wreck.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately released.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the wreck.
