Needles, Calif. UPDATE: – Two people were killed after two vehicles collided head-on in Needles on Friday, January 27, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department responded to a head-on traffic collision at about 11:21 p.m. on Highway 95 South, near mile marker 52.
On arrival, the deputies found two vehicles, including a black Audi A6.
According to the deputies, two people were killed in the crash. The victims were a driver and a passenger. Both victims were declared dead at the scene. It was not immediately clear if the two were in the same vehicle at the time of the crash.

At least one person was killed in the collision.
The identity of the deceased was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
During the on-scene investigation, Highway 95 was shut down at Havasu Lake Road for an unspecified period of time.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
