Santa Maria, CA. – The victim killed in a rear-end crash Wednesday evening on Highway 1 in Santa Maria has been identified as a 28-year-old Santa Maria man.
The incident occurred at around 6 p.m. on April 24 on State Route 1 at Black Road.
Reportedly, the man was driving a vehicle that rear-ended a parked semi-truck in unclear circumstances.
The victim, whose name has not been disclosed died at the scene.

Santa Maria, CA.– One person was killed in a rear-end collision on State Route 1 in Santa Maria Wednesday evening.
According to the authorities, the incident happened at around 6 p.m. on Highway 1 at Black Road.
Reportedly, for unknown reasons, a vehicle crashed into the rear of a parked big rig. The car ended up under the semi-truck and required heavy extrication.
One person was killed in the accident.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
