Madera County, Calif. – Three other victims killed in head-on collision on Road 22 in Madera County Friday morning identified.

They are 34-year-old Fidel Filomeno Ojeda, 35-year-old Pedro Hernandez Ojeda, and 57-year-old Roberto Banuelos.

They are 30-year-old Victor Hernandez and 28-year-old Alfredo Morales.

The auto-car crash happened at around 6:15 a.m. February 23 on Avenue 7,  just west of Road 22, according to the California Highway Patrol.

 

Madera County, Calif. – The pickup driver killed in head-on on Avenue 7 in Madera County Friday morning identified.

78-year-old Robert Jerry Kovar from Auberry was killed in a crash that happened at around 6:15 a.m. February 23, on Avenue 7,  just west of Road 22, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The identities of the other four victims remains undisclosed.

Madera, Calif. – The authorities have released the names of three of the eight people who died Friday morning in a head-on crash in Madera.

They are 34-year-old Hector Orozco from Jalisco, Mexico, 24-year-old Juvenal Jacobo Talavera from Michoacán, Mexico, and Alfredo Sanchez from Mexico.

The accident occurred around 6:15 a.m. February 23, on Avenue 7,  just west of Road 22, according to the California Highway Patrol.

As per the CHP, a Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Avenue 7 when it drifted across the dotted yellow line into the westbound lane and collided with a 1990s GMC Safari.

The GMC had eight farmworkers who were on their way to Lion Farms to work.

Seven people in the and one person in the pickup truck were killed in the crash. One person in the van survived but sustained major injuries. The patient was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

The identities of the other victims have not been released.

The incident remains under investigation.

Madera, Calif. – Eight people died and one seriously injured in a violent car crash that happened on Friday morning in Madera County.

The California Highway Patrol says the 6 a.m. collision happened on Avenue 7 near Road 22.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a van carrying farmworkers to work collided head-on with a pickup truck.

Seven occupants of the van and one person in the truck were killed in the wreck.

One person from the van was transported to the hospital with major injuries.

Police say most of the passengers in the van were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

The victims were not immediately identified.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
