Fremont, CA. – A 56-year-old man was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Wednesday night in Fremont, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at about 10:20 p.m. on the northbound lanes of Interstate 880 near the Fremont Boulevard South off-ramp.

As per the CHP report, six vehicles crashed for reasons yet to be established.

A 56-year-old man from Newark died in the collision.

No one else was injured as a result of the accident.

An investigation is ongoing.

Fremont, CA. – One person died in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday night in Fremont, the California Highway Patrol said.

The pileup was reported around 10:19 p.m. on northbound Interstate 880 just south of Fremont Boulevard.

About three to four vehicles were involved in the accident.

A witness said one of the cars was speeding prior to the collision.

An occupant inside one of the vehicles was unconscious, possibly trapped.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and blocked all northbound lanes except the slow lane.

One person was killed in the collision, the report said.

CHP officers are investigating the accident.
