Napa, CA. – Cesar Gomez Martinez, 38, of Vallejo, has been identified as a victim killed in a traffic collision on Highway 29 in Napa Wednesday night.
The CHP responded to the accident at around 11:13 p.m. on State Route 29 near Airport Boulevard.
Reportedly, a 66-year-old man from Sparta, Missouri, was driving a westbound 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 truck towing a 2004 RV trailer on the highway when he ran a red light and collided with a southbound 2019 Volkswagen Golf driven by Martine.
Martinez was declared dead at the scene.
The GMC driver suffered chest, neck, and shoulder injuries and was taken to a hospital.
An investigation is underway.

Napa, CA. – At least one person died in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday night in Napa, the California Highway Patrol said.
The pileup was reported around 11:17 p.m. on Airport Boulevard at State Route 29.
At least three vehicles were involved in the collision.
The Napa County Sheriff's Office and the Napa Police Department responded to the scene.
At least one person was killed in the crash, the report said.
The cause of the crash was not immediately determined.
Three vehicles were towed away from the scene.
Investigators closed Airport Boulevard in both directions just west of SR-29 as they worked the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
