Menifee, CA. – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner identified the motorcyclist who died in a multi-vehicle collision early Monday morning in Menifee as Danny Ponce Vargas, 28, of Hemet.
The accident took place just after 4 a.m. on Highway 74 at Menifee Road.
The collision involved a motorcycle, a sedan, and a pickup truck.
According to Menifee police, the motorcyclist collided with the sedan and pickup truck separately in collisions that happened in rapid succession.
The Riverside County Fire Department responded and pronounced Ponce Vargas dead at the scene.
The drivers of the sedan and pickup truck were not hurt.
Investigators did not immediately determine the cause of the crash.

Menifee, CA – A motorcyclist was killed in a Monday morning collision on Highway 74 in Menifee.
The mishap occurred shortly after 4 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 74 and Menifee Road, according to the Menifee Police Department.
As per the reports, the motorcycle rider crashed into a sedan and a pickup truck which had been involved in a separate crash.
The unidentified rider died at the scene.
The other two motorists, whose identities also were not released, were not injured.
Impairment is not a factor in the collision.
No arrests were made.
