According to the authorities, Jazmine Castillo, 42, of Snowmass Village, Colorado, was killed in a crash shortly before 11 p.m. at Atlantic and Olympic Boulevards.

Castillo was struck by a vehicle at the intersection for reasons not yet established.

Castillo was pronounced dead at the crash site.

The driver involved fled the scene before the officers arrived.

Los Angeles, CA. – One person was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident that happened in East Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

The collision happened around 10:57 p.m. in the area of Atlantic and Olympic boulevards, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A red Toyota Celica reportedly struck a pedestrian on the roadway in unclear circumstances.

The unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

The motorist fled the scene but was later located and was arrested.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
