Yuba County, Calif. – Larry Anderson was arrested after a deadly DUI car accident that happened Monday evening near Marysville in Yuba County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle collision occurred around 8 p.m. on Feather River Boulevard near Murphy Road.
CHP said Anderson attempted to pass slower-moving traffic by driving between two cars, one of which was passing the other.
Anderson ended up sideswiping both vehicles and then rear-ended another, sending it into a ditch where it hit a concrete block culvert.
The driver of the car that went into the ditch died in the accident.
Anderson drove away after the crash but was arrested near the scene.
Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor.
Anderson is facing charges of second-degree murder, manslaughter, and hit-and-run.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.

Yuba County, Calif. – At least one person died in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Monday evening near Olivehurst in Yuba County.
The California Highway Patrol said the collision occurred just before 8 p.m. in the 4591 block of Feather River Boulevard.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash. Two went off the roadway and down an embankment, and one was blocking the roadway.
The report said at least one person died in the accident.
It was not clear if any other person was injured.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
