Bakersfield, CA. – Leonardo Vasquez, 20, of Richgrove was identified as a man killed in a traffic collision that occurred June on Famoso Porterville Highway in Bakersfield.
The accident occurred June 21, 2024, at 3:05 a.m. on Famoso Porterville Highway and Cecil Avenue.
A vehicle driven by Vasquez and that driven by a 23-year-old McFarland woman collided in unclear circumstances.
Vasquez was pronounced dead at scene while the other motorist was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Bakersfield, CA. – One person was killed in a car accident that happened early Friday morning near Delano in Kern County.
The fatal collision was reported around 3:09 p.m. on Cecil Avenue near Famoso Porterville Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two sedans were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the accident, however, were not immediately established.
One person was killed in the accident.
