, Calif. – 55-year-old Palm Springs man was killed in suspected DUI crash on South Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs Sunday evening.

A police report indicated that the incident happened at around 6:52 p.m. on January 28 on South Palm Canyon Drive near Sunny Dunes Road.

The man was pronounced dead at the crash site.

Eric Berry, 29, of Grand Terrace was arrested and booked into the John J. Benoit Detention Center in Indio on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Palm Springs, Calif. – A died after he was hit by a vehicle Sunday evening near an intersection in Palm Springs, authorities said.

The accident happened around 6:52 p.m. in the 600 block of South Palm Canyon Drive near Indian Canyon Drive.

Palm Springs police said a man was hit by a car for reasons still under investigation.

The man died in the accident.

No details were available about the manner of the collision or a description of the vehicle involved.

The driver stopped and remained at the scene.
