Tucson, Ariz. – A 55-year-old Michael Akowski was identified as a pedestrian killed in crash at an intersection in Tucson Monday morning.
According to a police report, the wreck happened at around 6:30 a.m. on January 29 at North Alvernon Way and East Flower.
Akowski was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Tucson, Ariz. – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident that occurred at an intersection in Central Tucson on Monday morning.
The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of N. Alvernon Way and E. Flower, according to the Tucson Police Department.
Authorities responded to the scene and found a man with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car.
The man was transported to the hospital where he died shortly after arrival.
The name of the man was not immediately disclosed.
TPD says the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
