Fresno, Calif. – 21-year-old Mario Calderas of Caruthers was identified as man killed at intersection in Fresno Friday morning.
Calderas was killed in a wreck that occurred at around 7:30 a.m. at Lincoln and Marks Avenues, just west of Easton.
Calderas was driving a Toyota SUV on Marks Avenue when he ran a red light and collided with an eastbound semi-truck on Lincoln Avenue. The truck ended up on a ditch and catch fire.
Calderas was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fresno, Calif. – A 21-year-old man was killed and another 36-year-old man injured after a crash involving a semi-truck at an intersection in Fresno Friday morning.
According to a local source, the collision happed at Lincoln and Marks Avenues, just west of Easton at around 7:30 a.m.
Officers say a semi-truck was headed east on Lincoln when the driver of a Toyota SUV on Marks went through a stop sign, colliding with the truck. The truck came to rest in a ditch before catching fire.
The SUV's driver, whose identity was not released died at the scene.
The truck driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
More details about the wreck was not provided.
