, Calif. – Authorities have identified a 65-year-old man as the victim killed in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 23 in Thousand Oaks.

The deadly traffic collision was reported at around 10:45 a.m. on the southbound Highway 23 near the Oslen Road Junction.

The man had been driving a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck onto the southbound SR 23 from Cloverleaf on Olsen, due to speed and weather conditions, the driver lost control while entering the southbound lanes.

The Tacoma was struck by a Chevrolet Tahoe headed southbound. A woman driving the Tahoe, whose identity was not released, complained of pain but was not seriously injured.

Simi Valley man, whose name was not disclosed died at the crash site.

The crash remains under investigation.

Thousand Oaks, Calif. – One person was killed in a collision in Thousand Oaks on Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on Highway 23 near the Olsen Road junction at about 10:45 a.m.

The CHP said a pickup truck and another vehicle, believed to have been an SUV, crashed in the southbound lanes of Highway 23.

Details on what led up to the crash were not immediately available.

The incident is under investigation.
