Santa Rosa, CA – The woman who was hit and killed by a pickup truck last month in Santa Rosa was identified Tuesday by the Sonoma County Coroner as 71-year-old Diana Peter.
The woman was involved in the crash around 6:15 a.m. March 26 on College Avenue at Orchard Street.
Witnesses told authorities that Peter was in a crosswalk but had not activated the beacon.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved stopped and cooperated with investigators.
Intoxication and speed were not considered contributing factors.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
