Investigators said an eastbound 2020 Ford F-150 on 55th Way, just west of Paramount Boulevard struck Pulliam, who was crossing 55th Way just outside a crosswalk for unknown reasons

Long Beach, CA. – The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner's office identified Zaylah Pulliam as a girl hit by a car near 55th Way in Long Beach Friday evening.
According to a police report, the incident happened at around 7 p.m. on March 22 near 55th Way and Paramount Boulevard.
Investigators said an eastbound 2020 Ford F-150 on 55th Way, just west of Paramount Boulevard struck Pulliam, who was crossing 55th Way just outside a crosswalk for unknown reasons.
Pulliam was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
Speed, distracted driving, and impairment were not determined as factors in the accident.

Long Beach, CA. – A four-year-old girl died after being struck by a car on Friday night in Long Beach.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened around 7 p.m. near 55th Way and Paramount Boulevard, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
A 2020 Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound on 55th Way when it struck the girl.
The juvenile was found lying in the roadway and was transported to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to injuries.
The girl's identity was not released due to her age.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
