2 Hospitalized after 405 Freeway Crash near Victory Boulevard in Van Nuys
Van Nuys, California (March 18, 2022) – Two people were sent to a hospital following a collision involving multiple vehicles in Van Nuys Friday morning, authorities said.
The 11:30 a.m. pileup crash happened on 405 Freeway near Victory Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, ten vehicles, including two big rigs, collided in the southbound lanes of the freeway.
At least six of the vehicles involved in the crash acquired major damage as a result of the crash.
Multi-Vehicle Collision on 405 Freeway in Van Nuys
One person sustained minor injuries and another suffered unspecified injuries. Both patients were transported by emergency personnel to a hospital for treatment.
Police temporarily closed several lanes of the 405 Freeway due to the crash.
No other details regarding the collision were immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
