Lompoc, Calif. – Nils G. Gustavson, 44, of Lompoc was killed and Dillon Carter Sederlan, 28, of Solvang, injured in a head-on crash in Lompoc Sunday afternoon.
Gustavson and Sederlan were involved in a head-on crash at around 3:40 p.m. on February 11 on State Route 246 west of Mission Gate Road.

Lompoc, Calif. – One person was killed and another was injured after two vehicles collided head-on on Highway 246 in Lompoc Valley, Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash happened at about 3:40 p.m. on Highway 246 west of Mission Gate Road.
CHP officers and emergency crews with the Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to the scene and found two vehicles, a sedan and a pickup, had collided head-on.
The male driver behind the wheel of the sedan was killed in the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was withheld pending next of kin notification.
The woman who was operating the pickup sustained minor injuries and was transported to Lompoc Valley Medical Center.
Highway 246 was shut down between Mission Gate Road and Sweeney Road for some time Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The incident remains under investigation.
