Victor Cortez ID'd as Victim In Fatal 5 Freeway Motorcycle Crash on 5 Freeway near Sheldon Street in Sun Valley
Sun Valley, California (March 18, 2022) – Authorities have identified the person who died Tuesday evening following a collision with a vehicle in Sun Valley as Victor Cortez, 50.
The deadly crash happened at around 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, on the northbound 5 Freeway, just north of Sheldon Street.
Authorities said a motorcycle collided with a vehicle on the northbound side of the freeway.
Person Killed in 5 Freeway Identified
Cortez died at the scene of the crash. It remains unknown if he was the motorcyclist or the driver of the vehicle.
No further details about the crash were immediately available.
The accident remains under investigation.
